We all know Jaguar – the famous brand, the legendary cars – but what about Jaguar as a place to work? Whatever your level of experience of specialist job discipline, you´ll find that Jaguar is home to some of the very best careers in the automotive industry. More than that, ours is a business that encourages personal growth and helps put career development on everyone´s agenda.
Most of our people in the UK are based at our manufacturing sites in Birmingham and Merseyside. Jaguar also employs people at our Design and Development Centre in Coventry and at our sister company, Land Rover, sites in the West Midlands.
From time to time we look to hire skilled professionals and other experienced staff for roles at all levels and in a range of disciplines. Our main function include: Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales & Service, Human Resources, IT and Finance.
Training for experienced hires is very comprehensive. We encourage employees to take further qualifications such as Masters degrees or MBAs. We have up-skilling programmes that include engineering and a specific logistics course with Cranfield. We have a reputation for designing and delivering courses across a surprising range of business areas, from technical training (such as our latest CAE programmes) to personal development (such as Negotiation and Team Working). It´s an approach that caters for everyone from a graduate to an experienced hire giving you the opportunity to grow. Whatever your situation - whether you´re a recent graduate or an experienced hire – our approach gives you the opportunity to develop in a way that suits you.
We are looking for people who are hungry for continuous development. People who thrive on the sharp learning curves that we have to offer. Because we encourage each individual to take up the gauntlet, and help lead the business as it moves forward, we not only demand initiative, but we also recognise and reward it.
Once you apply you will go through various stages of our recruitment process. This will start with some basic online pre-selection tests, with questions built around the qualities and characteristics featured in our Business Behaviours (so it is worth revisiting them before you apply). If you are successful at that stage you will be invited to an assessment centre, which will involve, among other things, an interview and some more tests/exercises.
