MANUFACTURING MANAGER – NORTH WEST

With a reputation for the design and manufacture and supply of the most innovative products of the highest quality, our client has a strong position within the market in their chosen field, supplying well known blue chip clients across multiple industries.
Currently embarking on a complete change program this local manufacturing engineering company is now looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join the team and manage the production and assembly. Reporting to the General Manager, you will mentor and develop the Production Managers responsible for the areas, ensuring that the sales order demand is produced on time, to the right quality and in full. With previous experience of managing multifunctional teams in a fast moving manufacturing engineering environment, you will continually strive to improve productivity efficiencies, ensure safety adhered to, quality maintained and waste reduced. Along with the day to day responsibilities of the role, you also be involved in managing projects aimed at making improvements onsite both in the short term and for the long-term future of the business.
In the role of Manufacturing Manager you will:
- Direct and motivate the team to deliver KPI commitments
- Drive through consistent continuous improvements activities
- Ensure that all customer orders are completed to correct technical specification
- Coach and mentor your teams, developing individuals and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across both the process and people.
- To manage staff on a day to day basis including monitoring performance, managing absence & holidays, organising shift changes and handling and necessary disciplinary issues
