LANDFILL & CIVIC AMENITY SITE MANAGER – WASTE                    WEST MIDLANDS

TO £30,000 + PENSION SCHEME + COMPANY CAR

Due to an internal development, a leading waste management company has a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join the organisation.  In this role, you will oversee the day to day management of the Landfill and the Civic Amenity site.  

Your responsibilities as Site Manager will be:

• To ensure proper regard to environmental compliance and requirements of the open landfill site, a mothballed landfill and the Civic Amenity site.

• To ensure that the necessary complement of well-trained and motivated staff is regularly in attendance working safely to achieve the Site’s objectives.

• To be fully aware of planning consents and waste disposal permits relating to the Sites and ensure they are not breached.

• To ensure that the Sites are operated in compliance with all relevant Company and statutory environmental requirements, e.g. abstraction licences, discharge consents, duty of care for disposal of waste, planning and IPPC restrictions.

• To control and monitor all costs and expenditure

• Manage, develop and motivate employees at the Landfill & Civic Amenity site

• To ensure H&S legislation

The successful candidate for the role of Site Manger will have proven ability of a Landfill, Transfer Station and ideally hold or be working towards a Certificate of Competence (CoTC), Managing Treatment Hazardous (4TMH) or Landfill (NVQ Level 4).

You will be able to develop your team, and utilise you own drive and enthusiasm to ensure continued compliance of the landfill and all operations.
