PROCESS ENGINEER – NORTH EAST

£30-35,000 + Pension

Our client, a muliti-national company employing over 50,000 people across the globe and with a turnover of in excess of £50 billion, is now looking to strengthen their Technical Team with the addition of a Process Engineer in each of their plants.  There is now a fantastic opportunity for a Process Engineer at their site in the North East. 

Reporting to the Plant Manager and the European Process Manager your role will be to provide process engineering support and implement improvement projects.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Supporting manufacturing operations to resolve in depth process related issues
• Develop and implement technical solutions to optimise current manufacturing processes
• Implement Process Safety Management Systems
• Support capital projects
• Improve efficiencies of manufacturing processes using improvement methods such as Root Cause Analysis, Lean and Six Sigma Techniques and historical data

The successful candidate will be a qualified Chemical or Process Engineer with a Degree/HND and must be able to demonstrate Process Engineering experience gained in the Chemical or another process based industry, where they have worked on a plant with electrical instrumentation.

You will have strong communication skills, which will enable you to engage the plant operational people, encouraging them to work with you to identify problems and solutions.  You will be a solution driven person who have a natural desire to find the answer and have excellent problem solving skills.
