REGIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER – CENTRAL REGION

(MAIN BASE IN THE BIRMINGHAM, COVENTRY, SOLIHULL AREA)
C£30-35,000 + car allowance, pension, bonus & HEALTHCARE

Our client is a muliti-national company employing over 50,000 people across the globe and with a turnover of in excess of £50 billion.  Due to internal promotions and restructuring, there is now a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Health & Safety Manager for the Central Region.

Reporting to the UK Processing Health & Safety Manager Plant Manager the responsibilities within this role will include the management of all the HSE activities across approximately 12 sites, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies.  You will manage a number of H&S Coordinators/Trainers in your region and work with the H&S representatives at the sites.

Having previously worked within a manufacturing environment, you will utilise your experience of facilitating training for staff, ensuring they understand and work to the correct working codes of practise.  Previous experience of working with integrated management systems will also be a plus for this role, as the company move towards gaining ISO 18001 accreditation across the UK, to go with the current ISO 9001 & 14001 accreditation that they hold.

In your role you will:

·         Manage the strategy for the Region

·         Collate and report of H&S statistics

·         Set targets for your team focused on Health & Safety improvements

·         Support the UK Manager and attend monthly meetings

To be considered for this position you must hold the NEBOSH Diploma or higher and have worked in a process manufacturing environment.
