Business Improvement Coordinator

My client, a global supplier for the FMCG market, is looking to appoint an Business Improvement Coordinator in their growing manufacturing facility based in Burnley. The business boasts international growth that is expected to continue long term. This is a new role in an established organisation that can offer the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to become part of a group level team, secure future personal investment in a sector that can offer long term security, development, and career progression.

The role:

  • To improve and develop on all existing processes across site, both inside and outside of the factory environment.
  • Help to deliver on project/process documentation as part of transition of support to operational excellence.
  • Plan, lead and execute the implementation of the Lean Operations System across site, with view to further develop this long term into a more robust system.
  • Support in preparing updates and supporting documents for all processes, signing off on new processes, instigating positive change where possible.
  • Help and support the growth of the business through improvement campaigns.
  • Help creating the culture of "Quality Excellence", by championing knowledge share and transfer while collaborating cross functionally.
  • Manage projects from inception to delivery, creating and managing against detailed project plans/budgets/schedules.
  • Provides timely and regular status reporting to management and project stakeholders.
  • Manage project resources and budgeted costs, forecasting needs and requirements as necessary.
  • Participates in project meetings to help define project scope and objectives.
  • Facilitates project meetings across all levels of project stakeholders.

To be considered you must be:

  • Experienced in a similar position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have a proven record of delivering operational excellence campaigns in busy fast paced production facility.
  • Six Sigma qualification is highly advantageous but not essential.
