Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Customs Analyst to come and join a well-established business in Liverpool. My client is a global supplier of automotive systems into the manufacturing industry.

The main purpose of this role is to support the customs manager in handling Trade Compliance related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day operational Customs issues
  • Daily customs entry (import/export)
  • Checking country of origin documentations and qualifications
  • Daily duty avoidance schedule compliance
  • Using Advanced Shipping Notifications
  • Creating invoices and packing lists
  • Assisting with international shipment documentation
  • Monthly audits
  • Liaising with the logistics team when required
  • Collaborating and providing operational advice and support

Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems
  • Knowledge of tariff codes
  • Knowledge of relevant customs processes
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BPICS, IoSCM, or MCIPs desirable
