Customs Compliance Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving manufacturing business at their well-established facility in Chester.

Within this key role for the business, the Customs Manager will manage UK customs compliance, documentation and related process for four UK operations, based mainly in North Wales.

As Customs Compliance Manager, typical responsibilities will be to: -

• Liaise with 3rd party customs brokers and customs advisors as appropriate.
• Ensure the correct document classification of products.
• Ensure appropriate customs pricing.
• Provide day to day support to each shipping location for raw materials, packaging materials and spares.
• Ensure business compliance to UK customs regulations.
• Ensure documentation is prepared for any audit requirements.
• Keep up to date with new customs procedures and regulations.

The successful candidate will: -

• Have customs experience gained in a fast-paced environment.
• Be highly organised.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Pay high attention to detail.
