My client, a leader in injection moulding, is looking for an experienced EDM operator to come and join their highly successful site in Whitefield.

The main purpose of this role is to program and run wire erosion machines and ensure that projects and workload are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming of wire eroders (sodick) - EDM
  • Running of the machines
  • Basic maintenance of the machinery
  • Ordering any required consumables for the efficient running of the machines
  • Maintaining stock levels of spares for tooling
  • Fitting and bench work
  • Working to and within tolerances on engineering drawings
  • Occasional attend design review meetings
  • Operation of spark eroder

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a similar role - producing parts for mould tooling
  • Relevant time serves apprenticeship preferred
