Electrical Design Engineer

I have partnered with a leading manufacture in handling and process machinery specialising in the textiles and fibre industry. The company specialises in OEM builds as well as working with carbon fibre and glass fibre.

My client are looking for an electrical design engineer to join their team as they are going through a period of growth. With home working and flexible working opportunities available this is a great opportunity to join a thriving business working on bespoke projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bespoke machine building design.
• Produce electrical design using CAD Software (EPLAN - Desirable).
• Liaise with other areas of the business to present and discuss designs.
• Communicate with panel builders to ensure builds are completed successfully.
• Produce the pneumatic and hydraulic design when appropriate.
• Carry out safety calculations using relevant software (Sistema, Siemens Evaluation Tool).
• Create bill of materials for electrical components of the machine.

Person Specification:

• Experience using EPLAN or another CAD software.
• Experience with PLC (Siemens or Allen Bradley).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Solid experience within electricals and electrical design.
• Ability to adapt to specification changes.
