A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join the team at an innovative manufacturer of high technology, consumer products.

With over 40 years' experience in their industry, our client has an established brand and is well known in the UK housing market for providing high quality, reliable products.

The Electronics Engineer will join a newly established Smart Technology department and will contribute to the design and development of company products.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to electronic engineering activities to support design of new and current products
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and are within agreed cost and timelines
• Concept design, feasibility studies, component selection, circuit design, PCB layout and system integration for hardware
• Work closely with external manufacturers and suppliers and manage component supply issues
• Work alongside approvals team to undertake EMC, LVD & RED testing
• Participate in cross functional project teams, firmware and app development to produce connected products
• Understand and implement test specifications and approval requirements
• Conduct design reviews and provide expert advice relating to hardware and electro-mechanical design

Key requirements:

• Qualified in an Electronic Engineering discipline
• Min 5 years' experience of electronic hardware design for manufacturing
• Experience of PCB design for small-med volume manufacturing using Altium
• Working knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes
• A good balance of theoretical understanding and practical knowledge
• Self-driven
• A forward thinking and inquisitive individual
• Problem solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence - Essential
