Finance Manager

Fantastic opportunity to work for a growing manufacturer with a global customer base, who are looking to attract into the team a Finance Manager for a three month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working with all departments to ensure financial awareness and the best finance decisions are made for the business.

Reporting to the Finance Director, typical responsibilities as Finance Manager will be to: -

• Ensure all financial responsibilities are completed in timely and accurate manner.
• Manage monthly intercompany reconciliations with group companies, communicating and agreeing final balances accurately.
• Manage monthly Balance Sheet and expenditure nominal reconciliations, ensuring they are performed accurately, on time and in line with business expectations/requirements.
• Produce, communicate and enforce consistent accounting policies across the business.
• Manage the Fixed Asset management system CoStar, ensuring all amounts and documentation are correctly completed and uploaded for UK & US operations.
• Review financial accounting processes and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose for the operating organisation.
• Prepare VAT tax returns, and any other HMRC returns/reporting required.

The successful Finance Manager will: -

• Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Have experience gained in a Manufacturing environment
• Have experience with ERP systems
• Be conversant with UK statutory reporting requirements
• Have experience of working to tight reporting deadlines
