A fantastic opportunity for an Heating System Design Engineer to join a global manufacturing company in Preston who specialise in heating solutions.

You will join the team at a successful business unit who specialise in the design and build of Boiler Plant Rooms, CHP plants and Skids.

The Design Engineer will work closely with the Commercial Team and Project Managers to provide engineering solutions to meet customer specifications.

Key tasks:

• Provide design input and technical information for enquiries and tenders

• Produce mechanical schematics and layouts which meet customer specifications

• Produce assembly drawings using 2D/3D AutoCad and Revit

• Compile Bills of Materials (BOM's)

• Product weight calculations

• Contribute to design review meetings

• Manage engineering change

Key requirements:

• HND/Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

• Experience of M&E design for commercial/industrial heating systems - essential

• Experience using AutoCAD for Mechanical/Piping design

• High attention to detail

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Option for hybrid working - min 2 days on site in Preston
