HR Assistant

6-9 Month FTC


A new opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a successful manufacturing company in Lancashire. The HR Assistant will join a small HR team on a 6-9 month contract to provide maternity cover.

Key Tasks:

  • Act as first point of contact for all HR queries
  • Support all recruitment & new starter/leaver processes
  • Manage and update HR system
  • Manage Time & Attendance system
  • Support department managers at absence management meetings
  • Support department managers with recruitment, training and projects
  • Support HR projects
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Any other administration required


  • Previous experience as a HR Assistant / Administrator
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing/industrial/retail environment
  • CIPD qualification level 5 (or level 3 with sufficient experience)
  • Thorough understanding of HR function and practices
  • Strong IT skills; MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
