Job Description

This thriving business are specialists in the supply and management of energy equipment for commercial and domestic markets.

Due to significant growth, which will see turnover increase by 30% over the next two years, there is now an opportunity to ensure that current and future suppliers are able to accommodate this increase in demand.

The purpose of this newly created role is to enable the business to procure goods and services in a cost-effective way, whilst managing commercial terms the financial risks to the business.

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the Indirect Procurement Manager will: -

  • Develop procurement policies for areas such as fleet, sustainability, professional services, health and safety and consumables, with a value of circa £35m.
  • Develop spend analytics to allow good financial decision making.
  • Ensure suppliers can support growth plans and provide alternative supply where necessary.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Lead sourcing activities and manage direct negotiations.
  • Develop category strategies.

The successful Procurement Manager will: -

  • Have procurement experience with multi-category responsibility.
  • Be a confident negotiator.
  • Have the ability to develop communication channels with internal stakeholders.
  • Ideally hold a CIPS qualification.

  • Hours Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
