Maintenance Engineer

To £40K + Private Medical, Annual Bonus, Life Assurance, Flexible holidays, EV leasing & charging scheme

(6-2, 2-10, 10-6, 8-4)

A new opportunity has arisen for a number of Maintenance Engineers to join the Engineering Team at a specialist division of a global, manufacturing business.

Our client is renowned in the automotive industry for their technical expertise in the design and manufacture of sustainable, high technology products.

Key Tasks;

  • Reactive, preventative and pro-active maintenance on plant and equipment to ensure production downtime is minimal
  • Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of high-volume automated equipment
  • Planned maintenance tasks/inspections
  • Use CMMS to plan work, book spares and record completed work
  • Support the wider engineering team with continuous improvement projects
  • Support installation of new equipment
  • Ensure communication is clear and consistent to all teams across shifts


  • Apprentice trained Mechanical / Electrical / Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Experience gained in a high volume, automated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical fitting, machining, fabrication - advantageous
  • Strong fault finding / diagnostic skills
  • Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Good IT skills
  • Improvement mind-set
  • Action orientated
  • Confident and calm under pressure
