Job Description

Our client is a leading automotive manufacturing company known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and excellence. With a rich history of producing high-performance components, they continue to push the boundaries of automotive technology.

We are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team and play a pivotal role in their success.

As a Manufacturing Engineer it will be your responsibility to take ownership for engineering NPI activities while liaising with the NPI coordinator and program managers in managing new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external and internal customers for a number of areas ensuring compliance to any customer specific requirements.
  • Validate proposed new transfer products from a process, tooling and documentation requirement using bespoke DFM methodology.
  • Obtain supplier timing plans for tooling and equipment.
  • Utilise 3D modelling and creative thinking whilst looking to reduce costs as much as possible for launch.
  • Utilise constructive feedback to work continuously with a "First time right" mentality.
  • Push continuous improvement incorporating six sigma methodology on all manufacturing methods and processes.

Key Skills:

  • Product engineering or NPI experience is highly desireable.
  • Must have a hands on approach to NPI and engineering.
  • Ability to provide support to relevant internal teams.
  • Sbility to work under pressure and deliver results.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Continual improvement mindset.
  • Ability to lead change management initiatives.
  • Growth and customer focused.
  • Automotive industry experience is extremely desirable.
  • Greenbelt certification required, Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert desirable.
