Our client, an International Manufacturer based in Prescot are seeking multiple Multiskilled Engineers (both mechanical & Electrical bias) to join their team. As an experienced engineer you will be required to complete a range of maintenance tasks in a timely and effective manner with the goal of keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prioritise & Complete maintenance work activities.
• Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
• Service / Repair of all site equipment.
• Complete testing & inspection of facilities, plant & equipment.
• Daily communication on department requirements.
• Work in conjunction with site contractors.
• Identify enhancements and improvements within the department.
• Identify spares & replacement machine parts to ensure limited downtime.
• Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained.

Skills & Experience

• Mechanical maintenance knowledge including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Electrical maintenance knowledge including Siemens PLC's, inverters and drives.
• Good working knowledge of CNC machines, Presses, furnaces, and ovens.
• Competent in general MS computer applications.
• Competent in all H&S requirements associated with maintenance & general safety.
• Ideally, a knowledge of vacuum forming, and polyurethane foaming would be an advantage.
• Experience in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering within fast moving, complex manufacturing plant.

Person Specification

• Team player.
• Physically fit.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or a relevant HND/ HNC in engineering
• 18th Edition in electrical testing.
