A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project / Programme Manager to join a global leader of thermal power generation systems and environmental technology for the energy sector.

The Project/Programme Manager will be responsible for the technical delivery of Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and maintenance programmes for gas turbines/Hot Gas Path Parts (HGPP) projects.

Key Tasks:

  • Act as main point of contact for client and customer ambassador for the group
  • Work closely with customer to understand and develop contractual requirements
  • Manage all aspects of onsite outage planning; work scope, pre-outage checklist, unplanned outages
  • Provide support to commercial department and develop cost estimates for gas turbine, generator and steam turbine service proposals
  • Produce relevant engineering documentation; Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Technical information, Quotations and reports
  • Line management of Project Engineers
  • Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for assigned projects

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Proven experience of maintenance / project management in the power generation industry
  • In depth knowledge of processes relating to power generation
  • Good commercial/financial acumen
  • Project management experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Full UK Licence and flexible to travel to Hull for outages
