Our client, a key player in the automotive industry are seeking a Production Coordinator to join their well established team based in Daventry. As an experienced manufacturing professional, the ideal candidate would be responsible for a range of duties aimed at optimising production levels, quality, cost and efficiency. This role ideally would suit somebody making the transition between a fabrication/ machining role into a senior level position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Creating detailed plans for the manufacturing of all products defining cost totals and work schedules.
• Working with various departments to create work instructions and manage manufacturing methods with the aim of improving the overall quality and efficiency of production.
• Consult the engineering team to define the correct technical specifications required to meet the customer's requirements.
• Collaborate with the management team to design and implement team activities.
• Short-term cover of key department roles when required, for this full training will be provided where necessary.
• Adhere to all company/ legislative policies & procedures whilst maintaining high levels of compliance.
• Drawing up quotations relating to numerous areas of the production process.

Experience

• Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry is essential.
• Ideally trained or experienced in fabrication and/ or machining.
• Ideally experienced withing the automotive industry.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel.
• Previous experience in production planning and/ or project management.
• Previously worked with or have sound knowledge of machinery including tube benders, press breaks, CNC, turning & wire machines.
