4 on 4 off with a 14-day break after 5 rotations

A fantastic opportunity for a number of Shift Leaders to join the team at a global FMCG manufacturing company in Warwickshire.

Our client is looking for high calibre Engineers who have strong leadership skills and can demonstrate experience of motivating and developing a team in a continuous process, manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Provide strong leadership to the shift team ensuring the achievement of all production targets; daily, weekly, monthly

• Ensure all work is complete in line with safe working practices and company standards

• Develop shift personnel by identifying training needs, ensuring competency in all areas

• Investigate process related problems and ensure corrective action is undertaken

• Work with engineering team to identify issues, maximise utilisation and reduce downtime

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Identify programmes to minimise waste

• Analyse and maintain data to support and improve KPI's

• Ensure that any accidents, hazards, near misses or environmental incidents are captured and reported

The Person

• Time served Mechanical, Electrical, Multi-Skilled Engineer

• A manufacturing background in a high speed/high volume continuous process environment

• Experience of people management; strong leadership, influencing, organisation skills

• Analytical skills to interpret numerical data

• Good understanding of modern lean manufacture techniques

• Good computer skills - ability to manage via computerised data

• Working knowledge of Health and Safety, Quality & Hygiene work practices

• Enthusiastic with a proactive approach
