A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team at a world leading producer of sustainable products which are used in the food and personal care sector.

You will join the team at the Liverpool site and will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects whilst maintaining safety, environmental and food safety standards.

Key tasks:

  • Manage a portfolio of improvement projects from feasibility to commissioning and handover
  • Actively seek continuous improvement ideas and produce project proposals
  • Prepare capex and ensure all work is completed on time and to budget
  • Assess process issues and develop solutions
  • Ensure new and existing plant and equipment meets engineering legislative requirements
  • Manage plant procurement and installation costs
  • Contractor selection, management and control
  • Maintain comprehensive engineering records
  • Data gathering, trend analysis and reporting
  • Implement relevant training and validation plans

Key requirements:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Min of 5 years' experience gained in a process manufacturing environment; ideally chemical
  • Technical knowledge of chemical processes and equipment
  • Experienced Project / Process Engineer
  • Solid understanding of H&S in a regulated, process environment
  • Understanding of process and functional safety
  • Passion and enthusiasm to drive improvements
  • Able to take on a wide variety of tasks as per the needs of the business
