Job Description

The Group Purchasing Directot at this specialist manufacturer of precision engineered components is looking to attract into his team a purchasing professional who will develop suppliers as they continue to expand operations.

As Purchasing Manager, typical responsibilities will be to: -

  • Develop category strategies.
  • Develop spend analysis to support Group Purchasing activity.
  • Lead negotiations of contracts covering significant spend.
  • Understand current and future market trends.
  • Manage supplier relationships to maximise potential.
  • Ensure and maintain high standards of communication.
  • Lead supplier improvement initiatives.

The successful Purchasing Manager will: -

  • Have a high level of commercial awareness.
  • Have gained their experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Be a strong communicator.
  • Have excellent negotiation skills.
  • Be CIPS qualified
  • Ideally be experienced using SAP.

On offer: -

  • A salary to £60,000
