Quality Inspector

Shifts rotations (4 weeks rotation of each pattern) Days, Twilight, Nights


My client, a global manufacturing enterprise who is committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations, aiming to stay ahead of competitors and secure future success.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be a crucial part of the Inspection Department, ensuring high standards of quality and product traceability. You will be responsible for inspecting components, maintaining records, and supporting the QA team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform first-off, patrol, and final view inspections.
  • Generate first article inspection reports.
  • Manually handle weights up to 25kg.
  • Use computer equipment for data recording and maintenance.
  • Support internal audits and liaise with Production Managers and Quality teams on corrective actions.
  • Contribute to a team environment and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Using fine measurement tools such as Vernia, Calliper, Micrometre, CMM, Pin gauge, Shadow Graph, complete physical checks on measurements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with computer equipment for data purposes.
  • Competence in reading engineering drawings and quality plans.
  • Skilled in using inspection equipment such as micrometres and verniers.
  • Methodical approach to systems and understanding the importance of standards.
  • Decision-making skills and confidence to act within given boundaries.
  • Excellent personal organization, time management, and communication skills.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Competent use of general measurement equipment (verniers, micrometres, etc.).
  • Prior experience in assembly, inspection, and manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Inspection experience in milling, turning, and welding disciplines.
  • Familiarity with CMM operations, Faro arm, and Tessa scan is beneficial.
  • Experience in NDT testing is a plus.


- Time-served Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification (HNC / HND)

Working Hours:

Days: Monday to Thursday (7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.) Friday (7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

Twilight: Monday to Thursday (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) Friday (12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Nights: Monday to Thursday (10:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.)

The successful candidate must have the flexibility to work across multiple shifts.
