We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join the team at a global packaging manufacturing company at a site in Lockerbie.

The business is implementing a manufacturing excellence program across all sites within the group and are recruiting Reliability Engineers across all sites.

The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing assets, defining equipment criticality and selecting appropriate asset care strategies and tactics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Engineering Team to achieve targets in safety, production output, quality and cost
  • Manage asset lifecycle program and ensure assets continue to perform as required by implementing predictive and corrective maintenance techniques
  • Facilitate Route Cause Analysis studies
  • Complete regular site audits and manage CMMS system (SAP)
  • Development and improvement of maintenance program and systems via performance measures and KPI's
  • Develop strategies based on OEM recommendation and RCM based methodology
  • Trend improvements of asset performance, monitor effectiveness of preventative/predictive maintenance
  • Update and present data to improve performance/reduce downtime

Key requirements:

  • HNC/HND/Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Previous experience as Reliability Engineer/Asset Care Engineer or similar
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Route Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Knowledge/experience of PdM technologies; Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra-red, Ultra-sound….
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 - Advantageous
  • Experience of SAP or similar CMMS system
  • Systematic approach to problem solving
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
