Mechanical Reliability Engineer

Chemical Manufacturing

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join the team at a global, chemical manufacturing company in Cheshire.

Key responsibilities:

  • Improve plant reliability and ensure assets continue to perform as required by implementing predictive maintenance techniques
  • Develop and implement asset improvement plans to improve OEE by reducing unplanned downtime
  • Oversee the development of detailed maintenance plans and scopes for improvement projects and overhauls
  • Facilitate weekly reliability performance review meetings and drive high action completion rates
  • Act as engineering representative for capital projects
  • Define and implement KPI measures for preventative and proactive maintenance and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is continuously updated and available for review
  • Ensure communication between Maintenance and Project teams and ensure best practice is implemented
  • Trend improvements of asset performance and champion drive for world class OEE standards

Key requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years experience gained in a manufacturing /industrial / process environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Route Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Experience of working with high speed rotating equipment, process piping and mechanical fabrication
  • Systematic approach to problem solving
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
