Senior Buyer - Engineering Services

This specialist manufacturing facility with four sites across the UK, are currently looking to attract into their Engineering Services Team a Senior Buyer who will be based in Runcorn.

Within the role of Senior Buyer, typical responsibilities will be to: -

• Manage purchasing activity across engineering services for a circa £30m spend.
• Manage all contractor and supplier relationships.
• Deliver a cost-effective service to the business.
• Work with suppliers and engineers to develop accurate specifications for equipment, contractor services and materials.

The successful candidate will: -

• Enjoy managing and engaging a team of two Buyers and a Purchasing Administrator.
• Have purchasing experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Be results orientated and will focus on delivery, quality and cost.
• Have experience of managing suppliers with individual contractual terms.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
