Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

up to £50,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join the team at a global manuafacturer based in South Yorkshire.

As Senior Electrical Controls Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out effective fault finding and occasional modification of industrial control systems in a fast moving, continuous process environment
  • Ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum to ensure the cost-effective running of the plant
  • Working closely with electrical engineers to assit breakdowns and understand key issues, communicate technical issues and plan engineering work
  • Project & Installations (design & install new upgrades on PLC control systems)

Requirements for the Senior Electrical Controls Engineer role:

  • Time Served Electrical Engineer / Multi-Skilled Engineer (min HNC)
  • Strong technical knowledge of PLC's, Drives, Networks & Mechanics
  • Experience of (Allen Bradley)
  • A very good understanding of all control systems covered within Plant Engineering.
  • Experience managing small projects to completion.
  • People management skills.
  • Data driven and results focused
  • Experience of working in a high pressure, fast moving, continuous environment.
  • Pro-active mind-set
  • Good knowledge of H&S procedures
