We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team of a global manufacturing company at a site in Cheshire.

Our client is a specialist manufacturer who are dedicated to sustainability. By producing high performance materials including high temperature insulation products and new battery technologies, they are focused on helping customers save energy and live greener.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and upkeep of electrical and control systems across site as well as the development of the EC&I Technicians.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision of EC&I support across site and ensure maximum availability of assets through safe and efficient actions
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of preventative and predictive maintenance program
  • Deliver capital and revenue project work
  • Responsible for the development of PLC/Control System
  • Manage change control documentation for software/hardware
  • Provide technical support and ongoing training to Shift Technicians
  • Act as Responsible Engineer for HV/LV electrical equipment (training can be provided)
  • Remain up to date with professional engineering standards, trends/data and statutory requirements

Key requirements:

  • Apprentice trained Electrical /Control / Instrumentation Engineer, HND/Degree qualified
  • Proven management experience within an industrial/process manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation software and hardware, PLC's
  • Knowledge of Delta V systems, HV/LV Network - advantageous
  • Experience of delivering engineering projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • People leadership, management, development skills
  • Maintenance, contract and budget management experience
