Are you a confident and driven SHEQ Engineer looking to take on additional responsibility?

Do you have previous experience in a SHEQ coordination and are looking for your next big challenge?

We are currently recruiting within our clients Wirral manufacturing function for a SHEQ Coordinator to work as a succession plan to management, to join the team. The coordinator will implement and maintain agreed Quality, H&S and Environmental Management Systems and identify / coordinate / implement improvement activity in conjunction with the Site Leadership Team to deliver SHEQ performance improvement.

This is a progressive opportunity that would suit someone who looks to progress long term with an organisation with full support with training and qualification.

The role responsibility includes.

  • Monitoring all areas of the business to ensure they adhere to company Health and Safety procedures, carrying out a programme of site audits and safety inspections.
  • Lead all quality activities within the business including all audits.
  • Delivering Health and Safety workshops to employees.
  • Develop KPI structures and all data recording.
  • Head up all accident and incident management, investigating all accidents, incidents and near misses including liaising with clients and/or external authorities as necessary.
  • Chairing regular Health and Safety meetings with safety representatives and senior management
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in all matters related to Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment.
  • Following & establishing compliant procedures in keeping with current legal requirements.
  • Ensuring production is in line with the product and process specifications.
  • Auditing and maintaining Factory Process Control (FPC) and QMS documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with the customer requirements with responsibility for customer complaints management.
  • Ensuring compliance of incoming raw material supply to requirements with responsibility for supplier complaints management.
  • Ensuring compliance with the quality policy, company standards, regulatory and external standards. These include ISO9001, ISO14001, CE Marking ((EN12501, EN1279, EN14449) registration.
  • Supporting adoption of and certification to new regulatory or external standards.
  • Supporting Operations to develop best practices.
  • Supporting measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency, and morale.

To be considered, you must have the following experience and qualifications.

  • Experience in a Quality related role on a manufacturing site
  • NEBOSH qualified.
  • HSE exposure in a manufacturing environment
