Shift Manager

A great opportunity has arisen for an experience shift manager to join the team at a Lancashire based print and packaging company.

The shift manager will play a key role, being responsible for overseeing all elements of production operations on shift whilst ensuring efficient operations throughout.

The right candidate will be able to ensure shift production targets, quality compliance and an error free journey through manufacturing is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and manager your team to ensure allocated work is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
• Address any inefficient areas of production, understanding what the cause and effect of the inefficiencies is.
• Assisting in employee administration in relation to reviews during probation periods and annual reviews.
• Reporting any lateness and sickness.
• Attending production meetings and prepare as required and providing relevant information to your team.
• Assisting the operations manager as issues arise and working closely with hem to resolve the issues.
• Completing daily, weekly and 3 month safety checks.
• Assisting the operations manager in training and induction duties.
• Manage the timekeeping of those on shift to provide the operations manager with the ability to run a timely and productive shift.

Requirements:

• Confident and self-aware with the ability to communicate professionally.
• Ability to positively influence.
• Ability to identify and develop solutions to customers needs.
• Effective organisational skills to ensure priorities, goals and deadlines are met and detailed work plan is produced for department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment whilst remaining calm under pressure.
