We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Yeovil business and lead from the front and be part of a team shaping the companies' future. (Site T/Over £15 million with ambitious growth plans, Headcount circa 80 employees)

Key Tasks

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all manufacturing processes

• Lead capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demanding aerospace customer requirements

• Manage customer audits and ensure necessary actions are taken

• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives to maximise productivity

• Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing practices, and operational excellence

• Develop, mentor, and motivate a skilled workforce to achieve business objectives

• Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, control costs and optimise resource allocation

• Partner with senior leadership to deliver strategic growth and operational improvements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within aerospace, precision machining or complex manufacturing environment

• Experience of investment casting, sand casting, centrifugal casting or similar process - advantageous

• Relevant qualification and with at least 10 years experience in a senior management role

• Experienced in managing all aspects of core manufacturing operations (ideally within a £10-15m business)

• Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire at all levels
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and improving manufacturing processes

• A results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
