We're seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support the development of the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) process for a major defence program. This role is pivotal in transferring production knowledge from overseas partners and embedding best practices on the shop-floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of AIT production knowledge to the UK site
• Act as the shop-floor focal point for manufacturing engineering and tooling
• Support operators and drive structured problem-solving and process improvements
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to optimise cost, quality, and efficiency
• Provide design-for-manufacturing input during product development
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and work balance charts
• Support project execution through cross-functional collaboration
• Ensure compliance with EHS and manufacturing quality standards

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or HND/Advanced Apprenticeship in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in complex engineering environments
• Track record of manufacturing excellence
• Familiarity with Engineering Change processes and BOM structuring
• Experience in SAP planning (training available)
• Ability to operate effectively within complex organisations
