£40,000 per annum + Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Sales and Business Development Team at their Head Office in Coventry. This is a home based role.

As service providers to the manufacturing industries our client put their heart and soul into what they do. Their customers have been relying on them for over 50 years. Their expertise revolves around the factory of today and tomorrow: They plan, simulate, automate, install and commission. With their maintenance, technical cleaning, facility management and logistics services, they ensure in the background that their customer's production runs optimally. And how do they do that? They're people who get things done, problem solvers, all rounders and are great at dealing with emergencies where necessary. But above all, they're here to help.

The main responsibilities of the Business Development manager:

  • Deliver: Build and develop a strong and consultative relationships with all existing and new client bases and secure new business growth in line with Corporate strategy.
  • Lead: Take the lead on business development projects and liaise effectively with other internal functions of the business.
  • Take responsibility: Formulate bids in response to RFI/ RFQ's from customers.
  • Drive progress: Maintain up to date sales records using Salesforce CRM and provide the business with strong intelligence.
  • Develop collaboration: Build and develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities either through existing contracts, market analysis and a targeted proactive approach.

The main requirements of the Business Development manager:

  • Training and qualifications: Educated to degree standard
  • Experience: Proven track record of relationship building with good contact networks and experienced in selling to UK industry sectors.
  • Expertise: Knowledge of major manufacturing and industrial organisations in the UK. Demonstrable skills in providing solutions to win new business.
  • Personal attributes: Easy, outgoing style, enthusiastic, charismatic, personable and performance driven.
  • Work style: Self-starter, able to work remotely as part of a highly motivated sales team
  • Languages: Very good knowledge of English
