My client is the UK leader in the manufacturing of a high tech product. Due to a recent restructure they are now looking to recruit a senior finance executive to lead the financial management of the UK business, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and appropriate accounting regulations and standards.
Control and planning of all auditing, with emphasis placed on getting to the bottom of things and undertaking detailed physical audits.
Responsible for ensuring the group strives to achieve annual growth targets.
Maintain appropriate relationships with country managers, customer service teams and other members of staff.
Effectively manage the Finance team, ensuring that reporting is completed accurately and within given timeframes.
Understanding and reporting of key trends and performance issues within the
business and impact on overall targets.
Responsible for driving initiatives on Inventory Management
The ideal candidate will be the product of an SME environment with a manufacturer. Automotive, engineering and allied sectors preferred but not essential.
Must be technically sound with tax, statutory accounting processes and complex consolidations.
Proactive and flexible approach, understanding that international travel is part of the job description.
A strong bias toward physical audit is key. As such, experience with tangible products is essential; preferably dealing with high volume / low cost.
Experience within a similar function is essential, and relevant ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualifications/accreditations is highly desirable.
A dynamic and hands-on individual, capable of making an immediate impact and tenacious enough to tackle issues and 'look through the weeds'.
Demonstrable experience with high volume-low cost transactions.
Experience operating within an international business environment and dealing with multiple currencies.
Proactive and able to influence the margin mix by enhancing and experimenting with offerings.
Strategic thinker and strong planner with the ability to implement performance strategies and develop innovative solutions
Entrepreneurial approach and mindset, with proven commercial awareness.
Experience and appreciation for working with people in different countries and cultures.
A strong leader and change agent who will build trust and communicate effectively and with a high level of transparency.
