Multi Skilled Engineer

To £35,000 per annum

A great opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer has arisen to join an engineering company who provide services to the Oil & Gas industry globally, based at their site in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Engineer:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on industrial electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
  • Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, control systems and plant equipment
  • Install electrical systems to 17th/18th edition wiring regulations
  • Perform routine planned mechanical maintenance on plant equipment- (motors, sensors, pumps, pneumatics)
  • Carry out general factory maintenance when required
  • Provide professional assessments and present it in a report for management
  • Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in industrial electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring
  • Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts

Key Requirements of a Multi Skilled Engineer:

  • An understanding of Electrical, Mechanical and pneumatic systems
  • The ability to create basic wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits (AC & DC) and basic electronic devices
  • Have basic knowledge of panel wiring
  • An understanding of PLC's
  • The ability to read and understand Schematics, Block Diagrams and Ladder Logic Diagrams
  • The ability to use precision measuring tools including micrometers and digital calipers
  • The ability to troubleshooting and resolved problems quickly
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication
  • Qualified to 17th/18th edition wiring regulations
  • Must be able to physically carry out duties with ease
