Site Operations Director - Chemical / Process Plant

A Site Operations Director is required to lead a pivotal plant within a group that is on a high growth trajectory. This role will need someone that shares the organisation's drive and ambition for safety and operational excellence. The business has seen phenomenal growth in the last 6 years with a workforce in the UK that has tripled in size during this time. The growth has been predominantly organic due to advanced technologies and innovative approaches to service delivery, however, there has also been a level of acquisition.

The site is part of a global organisation with its headquarters in the UK, this particular division has been spearheading innovation and introducing cutting-edge developments in both new technologies and process for over 20 years.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a practical approach to operations management with a strong record of accomplishment in leading teams at a senior level, to deliver continuous improvement, operational efficiency and wider plant profitability.

Role & Requirements

* A tangible affinity for plant engineering standards and asset management
* Ability to lead and develop multi-disciplined teams, influencing behaviours at all skill levels along with the coaching/mentoring of your leadership team.
* Overall responsibility for ensuring CAPEX projects are completed safely, on time and within budget
* Extensive knowledge of COMAH legislation
* Cost Management and Budget Preparation experience is essential
* Proven record of accomplishment within a changing, fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Computer literate with a good understanding of Excel spreadsheets
* Degree qualified in a relevant business or engineering discipline
* Experienced in a regulated, safety critical environment such as Industrial Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Agricultural Chemical's, Petrochemicals.
