A long‑standing, industry‑secure engineering business is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Production Engineer to join their team in Ruislip. About the Role

As a Production Engineer, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating advanced 3-5 axis CNC machining centres. You'll create machining strategies from both CAD models and from scratch when required, while producing high‑precision components to tight tolerances. This is a hands‑on role within a skilled and collaborative team where your experience and ideas will be highly valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Apprentice trained or relevant engineering qualification

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a 5 Axis CNC Miller/Programmer
• Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
• Proficient with SolidWorks and Fusion 360
• Ability to create programs from scratch, including when no CAD model is provided
• Experience with fixture and jig design/manufacture

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating 3-5 axis CNC machining centres
• Creating machining strategies with or without CAD models
• Developing full toolpaths using SolidWorks and Fusion 360
• Working confidently with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
• Designing and manufacturing fixtures, jigs, and work holding solutions
• Producing high‑precision components to tight tolerances
• Reading engineering drawings/3D models and converting them into efficient machining processes
• Continuously improving machining methods to maximise productivity and quality
