Account Manager - Simulation & Technology

£48,000 basic + bonus | Company car choice | Private Medical | Pension | 25 days holiday

Location: Didcot - Hybrid
Travel: UK-wide, with occasional European travel

We are working with an innovative technology business specialising in simulation software, digital twins and synthetic training solutions used across the aerospace, defence and space sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to develop emerging accounts and take ownership of an increasing portfolio over time.

The Role

You will initially manage a portfolio of accounts, developing existing relationships while identifying opportunities to generate new business. As you become established, you will take responsibility for additional accounts and play an increasingly important role within the commercial team.

You will be working with sophisticated simulation technology across areas including:

• Aerospace and defence
• Space and satellite applications
• Digital twins and digital modelling
• Synthetic training and simulation
• Mission analysis and optimisation
• Operational modelling and what-if scenarios

You will engage with technically focused customers, including engineers, project managers, software specialists and commercial stakeholders.

About You

This role is suited to someone with commercial potential and a genuine interest in technology. You don't need to be an expert in simulation or have extensive sales experience.

We are open to candidates with:

• B2B sales or account management experience
• Experience selling software, CAD, engineering or technically complex products
• A recent graduate with strong commercial potential
• An aerospace, engineering or technical background looking to move into sales
• A degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, aerospace or a related subject
• Experience or a strong interest in gaming, simulation or technology

Aerospace and defence experience is advantageous but not essential.

Above all, you will be curious, commercially minded, open to learning and genuinely interested in the technology and markets you are working in.

During the initial training period, you will be expected to spend around 2-3 days per week in the office, with considerable flexibility once fully trained.

Once established, the role will involve a mix of home working, office-based activity, customer visits, exhibitions and events.

A full UK driving licence is required, along with eligibility to obtain the appropriate UK security clearance.
