Commissioning Engineer - Renewable Energy Sector

£52,000 basic + Working away expenses

Great package including; 10% pension, life assurance, flexible working

Cumbria base with international travel

A fantastic opportunity for a an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join the team of an innovative engineering company who are well known for their high quality design and manufacture of pumps and turbines in the hydropower sector.

The Commissioning Engineer will split their time between working in the office in Cumbria and travelling to sites in Scotland, America and Africa.

Key tasks:

  • Provide electrical commissioning expertise and support to the Hydro department
  • Attend supplier Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's)
  • Testing and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment
  • Inspection, fault finding and interrogation
  • Program and test control systems using PLC and HMI software
  • Create cable schedules, test documentation and commissioning procedures
  • Create documentation for validation
  • Provide technical advice to customers

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrical Engineer
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment/software including switchgear, control panels, PLC, HMI
  • Flexibility to travel on a semi-regular basis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Team player

On Offer:
