Fantastic development opportunity for a Shift Engineering Manager / Maintenance Leader / Maintenance Manager to take the next step in their career.

The Engineering Operations Manager will join the team of a global, FMCG manufacturing company and will support the Plant Manager with overall management and running of the site.

Key Tasks:

  • Support the Plant Manager to deliver results and strategic operational objectives
  • Plan and organise site production and engineering operations ensuring they are executed safely and in line with company policies and best practice
  • Review production plans and schedule maintenance activities to deliver maximum return on efficiencies
  • Lead, manage, coach and develop engineering and production teams to ensure all departmental KPI's are met
  • Set short- and long-term strategy for equipment reliability and availability
  • Implement corrective actions against all causes of failure ensuring equipment availability is maximised
  • Create a pro-active culture of continuous improvement across all disciplines
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all EHS regulations
  • Manage departmental budgets
  • Ensure quality requirements are met at all times
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas

Position Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Experience of managing a team in a modern, manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Lean, CI, Reliability, TPM, Loss Analysis
  • Able to operate well in a matrix structure
  • Able to coach and develop others in setting direction, strategy and executing problem-solving
  • Results driven with a strong focus on performance
  • Inspirational team player and leader
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
