I have a great opportunity for an experienced General Manager with a commercially biased background to join a global leader of thermal power generation systems and environmental technology for the energy sector.
With some exciting new developments there is a need to focus on creating a network and detecting and approaching new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on engaging your team, creating a followship and influencing a positive environment through coaching, mentoring, and empowerment.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the successful fulfilment of the service centres objectives.
  • Develop and deploy a strategy, evaluating capacity and capability requirements that align with the business strategy.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, building and maintaining strong relationships and communication.
  • Responsible for building a strong network, including potential customers and strategical vendors.
  • A strong focus on new business development within the UK & Ireland.
  • Create a positive, engaging and supportive culture, maintaining a safe environment that is inclusive. One that is open, honest, with good communication.


Requirements:

  • An understanding of the UK & Ireland Energy market, ideally with experience at Director level in the power generation industry.
  • Relevant degree - Engineering.
  • Experience of being the customer interface at a senior level.
  • Financially astute, understands a P&L and can budget, forecast and manage against financial measures.
  • Strong and proven ability to identify and convert new business
  • Have the confidence and self-awareness to maintain a positive attitude for your team. Be the inspirational leader that is visible and supportive, helping the functional leads achieve their objectives.
