Service Engineer Co-Ordinators

Rail / Rolling Stock

Home based with travel as required

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a number of Engineering Co-ordinators to join the team of a global business who provide a wide range of industrial services to the rail and transportation industry.

The Service Engineer Co-Ordinators will be responsible for ensuring all installation, service and overhaul projects are completed in line with customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Tasks:

  • Produce accurate project plans and production schedules for engineers, technicians & contractors
  • Allocate work in accordance with expertise, priority and customer demand
  • Ensure all drawings, tools, parts and test equipment is organised and available prior to commencement of work at depots/customer sites
  • Ensure engineering team are implementing appropriate modification programmes on company products
  • Build and maintain close relationships with customers and provide daily updates on work completed
  • Manage any complaints and maintain company reputation as a world class supplier
  • Produce accurate records and reports
  • Work with Project Management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensure team actively engage and participate in H&S management processes and ensure any investigations are carried out
  • Manage overtime, absence, time keeping, holidays

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (min C&G/ONC/NVQ level 3)
  • Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solver
  • Knowledge/experience of maintenance, service, repair & overhaul in the Rail industry
  • Knowledge of rolling stock sub-systems - advantageous
  • Previous experience of project planning and co-ordination
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communicator with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • IT literate and interested in new technology
  • Strong H&S background
  • Ability to travel and to work in different locations across the UK (based on the projects requirements)
