The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established electronics business based in Hampshire, is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in sales, with full training and support provided.

The hiring manager has a proven track record of successfully transitioning individuals from purchasing, procurement, supply chain and customer service backgrounds into high-performing sales professionals.

Initially, the role will be heavily administration focused, providing a solid foundation in the products, customers and industry before progressing into a more commercial sales position.

Key Responsibilities

• Responding to customer email enquiries
• Processing RFQs (Requests for Quotation)
• Data entry and maintaining CRM records
• Supporting the sales team with customer account administration
• Building relationships with existing customers
• Assisting with account management activities
• Learning product ranges, part numbers and customer requirements
• Progressing into a more customer-facing sales capacity as training develops

Ideal Candidate

We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:

• Internal Sales
• Customer Service
• Procurement / Purchasing
• Supply Chain Administration
• Sales Support
• Commercial Administration

Particular interest will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience working with electronic components or technical products
• A purchasing background, with an understanding of how customers use and identify part numbers
• Exposure to aerospace, defence, manufacturing or engineering sectors
• Strong attention to detail and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• An interest in developing a career in sales
