ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - CHP PLANT

Our client, a global business is currently going through expansion at a manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester. They are now in a position to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage all engineering activities associated with a new CHP plant in a clean room environment.


The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the build of the new CHP plant as well as upgrades, maintenance and development of electrical systems.

Key responsibilities;

  • Liaise with contractors/suppliers to ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance to plans; design reviews/commissioning work/maintenance contracts etc
  • Ensure reliable power supply to the manufacturing facility avoiding disruption to production activities
  • Oversee improvements/upgrades to electrical infrastructure and identify areas for development
  • Responsible for HV/LV distribution systems
  • Responsible for the management of BMS system

The Person:

  • Preferable minimum of HND in an engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
  • Strong fault-finding/diagnostic skills
  • Experience of LV/HV distribution systems
  • Experience with all or someof; HVAC, compressed air systems, DI water plants, extraction systems, CHP.
