Learning and Development Manager

Circa £45,000

6 months Contract

My client, a market leading manufacturer, working in three specialist market sectors, is looking to on-board a Learning and Development Manager for a six-month period.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build a Learning & Development framework from the ground up.

The successful applicant will be tasked with growing and developing the L&D function, working with managers and senior leaders to develop the L&D strategy for the site. Identifying training needs, source, design, deliver and evaluate as a true learning specialist. Using a range of learning methods to deliver a unique learning experience. Taking the opportunity to bring new ideas to the table that support the sites strategic and organisational objectives.

Job Purpose

  • To create and oversee an appropriate Learning and Development approach for all technical and non-technical development.
  • To have responsibility to the HR Director for development activity at management level and below for all grades and employees.
  • To develop and ensure the implementation of a site wide approach to L&D and deployment in line with the business plan for the site and in support of the core values of Safety, Excellence and Innovation.
  • To develop an end to end L&D framework and deliver this whilst working with each part of the business.

Must Haves

  • Hands on Attitude
  • Manufacturing/Hazardous Environment Experience
  • Experience in full end to end diagnosis of training, procedures and methods
  • Must be a personable character who is an 'influencer' and not a 'dictator'.
