MAINTENANCE CO-ORDINATOR / CI ENGINEER

Circa £42000 + BONUS + PENSION

We have a superb opportunity for a Maintenance Co-Ordinator / CI Engineer to join a successful division of one of the UK's largest manufacturers of construction products.

This business is committed to delivering high quality, cost effective products to a wide range of customers and markets and continue to invest heavily into plant and equipment to ensure this service.

The Maintenance Co-ordinator / CI Engineer will join an established engineering team with a focus developing and implementing CI activities to achieve operational excellence KPI's.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day to day operational support to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager to achieve maintenance excellence plans
  • React to the day to day requirements of the plant to ensure maximum operational capacity is achieved
  • Establish maintenance standards, periodic and predictive maintenance techniques to drive AM/PM routines
  • Analyse breakdown data to identify improvement opportunities in PPM schedule
  • Monitor and use KPI's such as OEE, MTTR, PPM to prioritise maintenance accordingly
  • Coach and mentor employees in CI processes/ways of working; 5 Why, 8D, Kaizen techniques
  • Standardise processes, documentation and plant layout to include visual management techniques
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement AM/PM routines

Key requirements

  • Qualified Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (NVQ level 3/HNC)
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing environment
  • PLC experience - fault finding/interrogation (Siemens S7)
  • Strong knowledge of CI tools and techniques;
  • Experience in the implementation of Autonomous and Professional maintenance (AM/PM)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Results driven
