£32,838 per annum (OT paid)

Electromechanical understanding is essential for this role.

An outstanding opportunity to join or progress in a well-established and respected engineering organisation, with a growing and stable client base in the electrical / mechanical service industry, serving large manufacturing and utilities organisation across the UK.

Due to growth and national success, a vacancy has become available for a Mechanical Team Leader withing my clients Machine Shop, acting as a first point of call for employees within the department.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (DAY TO DAY):

  • Use of all standard workshop machinery.
  • Attendance and contribution to daily CI program meetings in your department and Control Room.
  • Use of metal spraying equipment.
  • Produce accurate reversed engineering drawings of any manufactured parts and be able to offer solutions to machining problems
  • Distributing of jobs in line with daily production schedules and ensure labour utilisation is maximised
  • Leading the maintenance and inspection of all machinery and equipment
  • Assisting the Workshop Production Manager in planning and forecasting Mechanical Work.
  • Helping in the investigation of none-conformances raised either internally or externally
  • Acting as a first point of contact to Machine shop Engineering Team, managing performance, time, attendance, rota etc.
  • Assisting Account Managers and Clients where necessary
  • Participating in an on-call system

ABILITIES / SKILLS REQUIRED:

Electromechanical understanding is essential for this role.

  • Well organised
  • Solid experience in the Electro-Mechanical Industry

The successful candidate will be required to undertake training to assist them in performing this role.

Applicants must be flexible as from time to time you may be required to work additional hours and attend training courses and / or meetings off site.
