A fantastic position for a Production Supervisor has airsen to join the Production team at one of the UK's leading manufacturing companies.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Supervision of the department to ensure the smooth running of the production department.
  • Ensure all production requirements are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, safety and time whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Promote and maintain high levels of standards in relation to Environmental, Health & Safety policies and practices and conduct daily conformance audits
  • Be able to communicate information via all forms to the team
  • Perform shift hand overs and start of shift team briefings as required
  • Prioritise workloads and tasks to meet the Company's best interests
  • Absence Management: manage the Time and Attendance system, conduct return to work interviews and carry out informal counselling in cases of poor attendance.
  • Conduct accident/incident and disciplinary investigations as required
  • To work with the quality, chemical and engineering departments to maintain existing standards and implement continuous improvement

  • Work closely with internal departments to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with staff and facilitate daily briefings.
  • To aid in preventative and corrective actions, be part of project teams to improve machinery effectiveness and production processes.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by Management

The candidate:

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Certificate of basic management/team leader training (desirable)
  • Previous experience of leading a team of people.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (e.g. lean manufacturing).
  • Ability to work as part of a team, proven leadership and communication skills and the ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accountability and flexibility.
  • Proactive approach to housekeeping, 5s methodology and waste minimisation.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills are essential.
