Quality and HSE Manager - Precision Engineering/Aerospace

Are you a Quality Manager that has worked with AS9100 and has a solid understanding of the Health, Safety and Environmental requirements expected of an Aerospace manufacturer? Are you looking for a new role that allows you to be part of the Senior Team and effect positive change within a business? Can you effectively manage people and resources across multiple disciplines? We are currently seeking a Quality and HSE Manager for my client in based in the Cheshire/North wales area.

This unique position within the Aerospace sector includes the following responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the Quality and HSE Teams.
  • Hands-on management of the company's Quality and HSE Standards and Compliance.
  • Maintain all quality standards and accreditations, all HSE Policies and procedures
  • Look to integrate standards site wide in all disciplines.
  • Create a culture of High HSE and Quality standards.
  • Develop team and train staff of all levels.
  • Sit as a Senior Member within the business and work closely with all departments.
  • Implement strategy and relevant systems to ensure QMS is effective.
  • Work in line with CI principles.
  • Write Technical Reports.
  • Manage budget for QESH.

The successful candidate will also be tasked with overall responsibility of Audits both internal and external, customer interaction and maintaining the relevant on-site accreditations, ensuring legislation is up to date as well as tasked with global travel, visiting supplier sites and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate for the QESH Manager will be someone that has a good understanding of Quality standards associated with the Automotive and Aerospace industry for example AS9100 and ISO14001. They will also have a strong understanding of Environmental, Safety and Health. They will be a strong man manager and ideally have a degree within Engineering. Direct experience of working with Lean management principles is also a must
